Pundit compares Nicolas Jackson to Man United striker Rasmus Hojlund

Football pundit, Robbie Earle has shared his thoughts on two of the Premier League’s most underwhelming strikers this season (according to the opinions of some).

Nicolas Jackson has endured a lot of bashing from both Chelsea and rival fans, despite scoring seven goals so far. The Senegalese has often been criticised for his missed chances, and rarely given credit for the ones he puts away.

Jackson was impressive on Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace during midweek, but in the end, the 22-year-old was slammed for missing one or two chances.

In contrast, Rasmus Hojlund has had a far worse season for Manchester United in the Premier League.

Since joining the Red Devils, the Dane has managed just one league goal.

Hojlund however did score for United in the UEFA Champions League, but it wasn’t enough to stop them from finishing bottom of their group.

While speaking recently on NBC Sports, Earle picked Hojlund over Jackson, who he says hasn’t shown that he has the natural instincts of a striker yet.

He said: “When I see him [Rasmus Hojlund] and Nicolas Jackson, there’s a lot different level in those two.

“They’re both young, they’re both coming into the league, Hojlund’s got a different feel around him.

“He rushes things a little bit, he’s caught a little bit indecisive but he’s a finisher. I don’t see that in Jackson.”
