Chelsea will play Luton Town in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Blues will hope to make it two wins on the bounce after beating Crystal Palace 2-1 on Wednesday.

Mykhailo Mudryk was on the scoresheet against Palace, but the Ukrainian is now confirmed to be a doubt for the game with the Hatters as a result of an injury concern.

Speaking ahead of the game in a press conference on Friday, Mauricio Pochettino said: “We need to assess Mudryk.”

It’s unclear what the situation with the 22-year-old is, but we do hope he can make it to Luton after dazzling on the pitch the last time out.

Meanwhile, Pochettino also shared a fitness update on Romeo Lavia, who finally made his debut for Chelsea on Wednesday.

The Belgian came on in the second half against palace, but he may have also sustained an injury, according to Pochettino.

“Lavia felt something and we need to check and hope it’s not too bad,” Pochettino explained.

“We are a little bit worried because if you watch the game [against Crystal Palace] I had to change his position with (Conor) Gallagher at the end because he was struggling to run.

“We will see what is going on. We hope it’s not a big issue and he can be with us again. He’s an important player that we recovered, and it’s going to be a shame if we cannot use him in the next few games.”
