Mykhailo Mudryk has been showing signs he can be a football great, according to former Premier League icon, Gary Lineker.

Mudryk has impressed reasonably for Chelsea this season, and even has three league goals to his name already after picking up one in the 2-1 win against Crystal Palace on Wednesday.

The Ukrainian had struggled to make a mark in England after joining Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk for a reported £89m back in January, but he appears to be finding his feet, as Lineker observed during an appearance on the Rest Is Football podcast.

“We have talked about their signings but I see something in Mudryk’ said the BBC Match of the Day host.

“I think there is something in there.

“He scored a goal, he has three goals now, he is quick. He shows a few signs, he ought to as he cost £100 million but that’s not his fault.”

Mudryk is a doubt for Chelsea’s trip to Luton Town on Saturday after picking a little knock against Palace in midweek.
