Crystal Palace defender, Chris Richards has described their latest defeat to Chelsea as an ‘unfortunate’ one.
The Londoners were edged out 2-1 in a Premier League contest at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night, after a late penalty by Noni Madueke.
Chelsea have now picked up a 13th straight win against Roy Hodgson’s men, despite their poor form in the league this season, although, Richards thinks the result doesn’t reflect the amount of effort his side put into the game.
He told club media in a post-match interview: “I think [it was] a bitter ending.
“I thought we played really well throughout the game.
“Of course, coming to Stamford Bridge is never an easy game, but I thought we stuck in it sadly we didn’t get any points at the end of the game.
“We just have to move forward with the good things that we did and hopefully get three points on the weekend.”
