Mauricio Pochettino has urged fans to be patient with Nicolas Jackson because he is still young, and needs help to adapt quickly to the Premier League.

Jackson has scored seven goals for Chelsea this season, but the 22-year-old has also missed some really big chances, with the latest coming during Sunday’s 2-1 defeat to Wolves.

Pochettino has said: “He is a young boy, 22 years old.

“It is his first season in a club with many expectations and in the Premier, which is a different league. He needs adaptation and time. It is logical.

“The problem is that we are not performing as expected and that is why people are looking for culprits. But we are all doing it wrong, not one or two players.

“They are all failing in front of the goal and in other facets. We have to help him.”
