Wolves midfielder, Mario Lemina has revealed the message they received from their manager that helped them beat Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues lost 2-1 to Wolves at the Molineux, despite Christopher Nkunku’s late consolation strike.

Chelsea were quite dominant in the early stages of the game, and created a handful of opportunities, which they failed to take.

At some point in the first period, there was a stoppage in proceedings, and Wolves boss, Gary O’Neil could be seen dishing out instructions to his players.

According to Lemina, their manager realised they were not matching Chelsea’s intensity with their previous tactics, and urged them to adopt a different approach in the second-half, which easily turned the game around.

Lemina, who scored Wolves’ first goal, said after the game: “It’s amazing, the support we have here is fantastic. I hope we can keep pushing on and making the fans happy.

“He [Gary O’Neil] just said to change the tactics. It worked really well.

“I’m getting used to scoring now so I need a signature celebration. I want to pass a message to my dad who is in hospital.

“Keep pushing and we are all together.”
