Wolves right-back, Nelson Semedo has revealed his desire to secure maximise points when the Wanderers host Chelsea at the Molineux on Sunday afternoon.

The two sides have picked up a win each from their last five meetings, while drawing the other three. Wolves won the last tie 1-0 back in April.

After their 3-0 defeat to West Ham last weekend, Semedo is eager to bounce back from the disappointment, and has targeted the game against Chelsea as the perfect opportunity to do so.

Asked how he feels about playing on Christmas Eve, the Portuguese said, as quoted by the official Wolves website: “Everyone’s going to bring their families, I have my family coming from Portugal, so it will be nice to have our families supporting us from close. Let’s try to give them something as well.

“We’ll go for it with everything. We’re playing at home, we’re doing well at home, so we’ll give everything to win the game and give a present to our fans. They have a strong side, very good players, they beat a strong side in Newcastle in the cup. We know they have very good players, so we have to be prepared for everything.”

He later added: “First, I would like to beat Chelsea, that’s my present. I just need my family around, have a good time with them. I like to play some party games on Christmas Day, that’s enough for me. We have a lot of games, there’s one you call Forbidden Word in England. Say the world is Wolves, you play as a pair, and you cannot say Wolves, you have to say other words to get your partner to get the word.”
