Chris Sutton makes his prediction for Chelsea’s trip to Wolves

Chelsea and Wolves will play out a draw when they meet at the Molineux this Sunday, according to BBC pundit, Chris Sutton.

The game on Sunday will mark the first time in 28 years that teams in the Premier League will be required to play a football match on Christmas eve.

The two sides are currently separated by three points on the log, with each having had a fairly difficult season so far, and for that— along with Chelsea’s inconsistencies, Sutton has gone with a 1-1 draw as his own predicted outcome for Sunday’s 1pm (GMT) kick-off.

“Wolves lacked intensity against West Ham last week, which makes me think they will bounce back here – but it really does depend on which Chelsea team turns up,” Sutton told BBC Sport.

“And I’m sorry but I still have absolutely no idea what to expect from Mauricio Pochettino’s side so I am going to sit firmly on the fence with this one.

“Sutton’s prediction: 1-1.”

Chelsea and Wolves have a somewhat balanced head to head record from their last five games, with both teams winning one each, and drawing the other three.
