Chelsea have no intention of selling or loaning out Noni Madueke in January, and that is according to a new report by The Athletic.
Madueke has not adapted well to life at Chelsea, failing to get regular minutes at the club this season, having joined from PSV Eindhoven in January.
Mauricio Pochettino has used the 21-year-old as a peripheral figure this season, leading to many outlets reporting that he could be one of five Chelsea players to be sold in the winter transfer window.
The Athletic however, claims that Madueke is seen as a valuable player by Chelsea, and the club do not intend to sell or loan him out in the coming weeks. It is believed that he still has some part to play in the Blues’ quest to push for the top four this season.
Madueke is currently recovering from a recent injury he picked up, and hasn’t been available for selection in the past few matches.
