TalkSPORT pundit, Andy Jacobs has shared how he’s been feeling about Mykhailo Mudryk lately.
Mudryk hasn’t quite performed to expectations since he joined Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in January.
The 22-year-old has however been impressive on occasions this season, and even has three goals in 17 matches so far— including the last-minute strike that helped to send Chelsea to the Carabao Cup semi finals on Tuesday.
According to Jacobs, while Mudryk can be frustrating sometimes, the winger is undoubtedly talented, and there is hope that he can be a world beater in the future.
Recalling Mudryk’s display in the 2-0 win over Sheffield, Jacobs said on talkSPORT: “There was one moment [against Sheffield United] that said everything about Mudryk at the moment. He brought the ball down, nutmegged one player, went past another, then he took a shot and it nearly hit the corner flag. Someone made the point that Salah was like this when he was at Chelsea.
“There’s something in this player. You can imagine in six years time he’s going to be one of the best players in the world. I think there’s a player in there, but sometimes he is a bit frustrating.”
