TalkSPORT pundit, Perry Groves has urged Arsenal not to sell their goalkeeper, Aaron Ramsdale, despite rumours linking the England international with a transfer away from the Emirates stadium.

Ramsdale has lost his number one slot to new signing, David Raya, who only joined the Gunners on a season-long loan deal from Brighton this summer.

It’s a difficult situation to be in for Ramsdale, who was a regular for Arsenal last season, as they challenged Manchester City for the Premier League title.

The 26-year-old is now said to be looking for an exit from the club, with Chelsea believed to be one of his biggest admirers.

Reports claim that Mauricio Pochettino is in search of a new goalkeeper after losing Robert Sanchez to an injury last week.

Groves was recently asked whether Arsenal should consider selling Ramsdale, who is reportedly valued at £60m if the Gunners got a decent offer in January, and the pundit rejected the idea, insisting that the shot-stopper should stay until the end of the season at least.

He told talkSPORT: “Absolutely no chance. Sorry Aaron but you’re going to stay until the end of the season. What you’ve done for the club in the past, I’ll let you go at the end of the season.”

Ramsdale will definitely be sweating about his current predicament, knowing that the 2024 European Championship is around the corner, and he needs some game time to convince Gareth Southgate that he deserves to be a part of the squad for the tournament.
