Marc Cucurella has shared an important update on his injury.

The left-back picked up an ankle injury as Chelsea lost 2-0 against Everton last Sunday.

Cucurella had been a regular presence in the Chelsea starting XI in recent weeks, but the injury means he will not be playing for a while at least.

The Spaniard recently took to his Instagram account to share images of him in what seemed to be a medical facility, with his leg bandaged in one of the shots.

The former Brighton star have had to undergo surgery in a bid to get a permanent cure for the injury.
