Ex-Blue, Antonio Rudiger, and his Real Madrid teammate, Jude Bellingham have sent their love and support to Reece James, following news that the Chelsea captain has been injured again.
James was forced to cut short his participation in Chelsea’s 2-0 loss against Everton on Sunday, after sustaining an injury.
The 23-year-old was replaced with just about half of the first period played at Goodison Park, with Levi Colwill coming in as his replacement.
After the game, Mauricio Pochettino revealed that James was substituted because he felt something in his hamstring while the game against the Toffees was ongoing. And a day later, the official Chelsea website released a statement confirming that the right-back picked up a hamstring injury, and would now have to undergo a rehabilitation programme.
Reports also suggested that James will be out for at least, another three months after missing seven games this season already due to the same issue.
The England international later took to his Instagram account to reveal he was devastated with the news of his injury, and thanked everyone for their support.
Rudiger and Bellingham were among the numerous people that dropped a message under James’ post, as they wished the Chelsea star well, and prayed for a speedy recovery.
Meanwhile, Bellingham had previously been linked with a move to Chelsea. Back in the summer, the midfielder was among the players said to be interesting Todd Boehly and his co-owner, but he ended up joining Madrid in a big-money move instead.
