Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that Chelsea’s problems are too many to be solved in just three months.

The Argentine made this known after his Chelsea side were beaten 2-0 by Everton away at Goodison Park.

The Blues have now fallen to 12th place on the log after the defeat, with the gap between them and fourth-placed Manchester City now stretched to 14 points.

Fans are expectedly unhappy with the lack of progress under Pochettino, and some are urging the ownership of the club to sack the Argentine, but the 51-year-old has now made a case for him and his players.

He told reporters after the 2-0 loss to Everton: “No. Who understands football? It’s a new project, it’s a new team. Too many circumstances. It’s tough to explain.

“The reality is too many problems and circumstances from the beginning of the season. It’s not easy to build something new. That is what we were talking before. Expectation massive.

“Reality now, we are thinking is different. It’s about to take decisions, being strong in how we assess the team and being clever and take decisions to try to improve in the second part of the season, be more competitive and to get the results a club like Chelsea deserves.”

  1. Why does Coach hate Chelobar Treves not to let him play. Our defense is lacking a lot. The young boys have failed. Front line of Palmer, Jackson & Mudryke is the best. Team selection has failed fully. The Coach should go.

Pochetinho to be stacked? NO. my opinion, I disagree with this view. The question to be asked is, How many managers have managed Chelsea since TT sacked? did any of those Managers who came after TT managed a thing at the club? No. The answer is that Pechetinho must be given time to build the team he desires to play with to win games. My appeal here to the board of directors for CFC is that sacking of coaches at a short period of time is not going to build a football club like that Chelsea we all know and watched in the past seasons. The other thing is that Chelsea should consider of buying big players I mean those experienced players like Mbape, Osimen Victor and not only such Big names but there are players especially strikers who often score game after game. Such players our club is lucking. The issues here is that those mistakes made during the past, sacking coaches, selling of players who can took a club to the other level must be corrected now so that this club must come on the winning ways. I think this can help.
