Conor Gallagher has revealed his disappointment with Reece James’s latest injury.
James was forced off in the first-half of the game against Everton on Sunday, with Chelsea going on to lose 2-0.
The 23-year-old reportedly felt something in his hamstring, and had to be taken off, with Mauricio Pochettino throwing in Levi Colwill in his place.
Colwill moved to left-back, where he has played for the most of the season, while Marc Cucurella went to right-back.
However, things got even worse for Chelsea towards the end of match at Goodison Park, as both Cucurella and Robert Sanchez also got injured.
The extent of the injuries for all three of them is yet to be ascertained, but Gallagher is particularly sad for James, who has already missed a large part of the season to the same issue.
“It’s not ideal at all,” he told the official Chelsea website after the defeat. “Reece is one of our best players and captain, so for him to come off is really disappointing. Hopefully, it’s not too serious.”
