Mauricio Pochettino has hinted that Chelsea will go into the transfer market and try to sign new players when the January window opens.

The Blues endured yet another disappointing outing on Sunday afternoon, as they fell to a 2-0 loss against Everton.

Chelsea were much-better than they were against Manchester United in midweek, to be fair, but ultimately, they didn’t create enough, or take their chances when they had them.

Sunday’s loss means that Pochettino’s side are now 12th on the Premier League table, and now trail fourth-placed Manchester City with a whopping 14 points.

“We need to talk and to try to improve in the next transfer market,” Pochettino said during his post-match press conference.

“When the transfer window opens, we will see what we can do. I will not say if I [will] ask for more players or less players but it’s to see if the perception matches the reality. Maybe we need to improve our reality.”

Chelsea will play Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge next, in what promises to be another exciting outing for the West London outfit.
