According to Football Transfers via SportsMole, Chelsea are willing to pay whatever is it takes to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.

Chelsea are keen on signing a striker in January despite signing Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal during the summer.

Jackson has struggled for consistency since his arrival, scoring six goals in 14 Premier League games, including a hat-trick against nine-man Tottenham Hotspur in November.

Chelsea are reportedly prepared to break the club’s transfer record to sign Osimhen from Napoli in January.

The Nigerian striker netted 26 goals in 32 league appearances last term to help end Napoli’s 33-year wait for the Serie A title.

Osimhen will be out of contract in 2025 and if he doesn’t extend his contract, Napoli might be forced to sell him in January or next summer to avoid losing him as a free agent.

Chelsea could potentially sell Armando Broja to help fund a transfer for Osimhen.
