Manchester United play host to Chelsea at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
It hasn’t been a great start to the season for both clubs, but Manchester United are currently ahead of Chelsea on the league standing – 7th and 10th respectively, with five points difference.
At a press conference on Tuesday, Mauricio Pochettino was quizzed on the current situation at Old Trafford, and was asked if he had any regrets about being beaten to the Man United job by Ten Hag in 2022.
However, the Argentine shifted away from answering the question directly, as he rather claimed that both teams are in the same situation.
Speaking to reporters, Pochettino said: “It is always good to play in Old Trafford because it is an amazing place, amazing stadium, fans, team, club. it is a great opportunity to play there, but I think we are all in similar level and situations.
“I don’t say that it is a good moment to go there. The most important thing is to be ready to compete because we are going to face a team that are going to be tough, for sure they want to win, and we are a team that wants to keep our momentum from Brighton, and to be higher up the table.”
