Football journalist, Simon Phillips has revealed that Christopher Nkunku will likely be involved when Chelsea take on Manchester United on Wednesday.
The Blues will play the Red Devils away from home, as they look for a second consecutive Premier League win this week.
Last time out, Chelsea edged Brighton 3-2 at Stamford Bridge, and will be hoping to continue the momentum.
Nkunku is yet to kick a ball for Chelsea after the injury he suffered ahead of the current campaign, but the Frenchman has been recovering well, and should be available before the end of the year. In fact, Phillips says a top source has told him that the £52m forward could be in the squad against Man United.
He wrote on Substack: “A top source has just been in touch and once again there is hope Christopher Nkunku will make the squad on Wednesday, depending on how he comes through the next couple of training sessions.”
Nkunku scored a number of goals for Chelsea in pre-season, and should make a good addition to the team when he finally becomes available to play.
