Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino has warned Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson  to ‘understand the rules have changed’ in regards to talking to referees.

Jackson, who moved to Stamford Bridge this summer, has picked up a whopping seven yellow cards in just 12 Premier League appearances this season.

“When you analyse the team, starting XI or players who come from the bench, there’s not too much experience of the Premier League,” Pochettino said.

“We are talking about Jackson, he came from a different league. He needs to understand the rules have changed and where is the limit to talk with the referee.

“Like this, many other players, or players who play less than one year. We cannot underestimate the Premier League.

“The Premier League, you can arrive here, but it is the toughest league. Sometimes, as a team, we need to be more mature to manage situations, and then sometimes, we make a mistake.

“There are many factors, but these two are principal. You need to learn quickly; if not, you pay for it.”

Meanwhile, Jackson has sent a message to himself and his teammates after Chelsea’s 4-1 defeat against Newcastle.

The 22-year-old was involved in the game, but could barely do much, as the Blues were handed our worst defeat of the season.

Jackson however, appears to have moved on from the disappointment at St. James Park, ahead of the game against Brighton at Stamford Bridge.

The Senegalese striker posted a picture of himself in training ahead of the game against Brighton with the caption: “Don’t look back.”
