Christopher Nkunku is still a doubt for Chelsea’s clash with Brighton on Sunday, and needs to be assessed by the medical team before his readiness can be confirmed.
This is according to Mauricio Pochettino, who spoke with the media at ahead of the Stamford Bridge meeting.
Nkunku hasn’t yet played in a competitive match since joining Chelsea over the summer after sustaining an injury, but he recently joined team training, and should be available soon.
“We need to assess tomorrow and then decide. They are close,” said Pochettino about Lavia and Nkunku.
“But we need tomorrow to make the decision. Maybe Lavia is the more difficult, but we need to assess Christoph for tomorrow.”
