Chelsea have agreed a deal with Brazilian club, Corinthians, to sign highly-rated 21-year-old midfielder, Gabriel Moscardo, according to reports.
The 18-year-old has been courted by some of the best clubs in Europe, after making his first-team debut for Corinthians back in June.
Arsenal, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are among the clubs interested in Moscardo, but former Corinthians midfielder, Neto, who also hosts the TV show ‘Os Donos da Bola’, has claimed that Chelsea have reached a deal for the player.
“The Moscardo boy was sold to Chelsea. That’s the information I have. That’s why he didn’t play,” Neto said on his show on Monday.
It is also being reported that Chelsea have agreed a fee in the region of £21m for Moscardo.
Reports elsewhere however claim that Chelsea haven’t yet won the race for the player, with some claiming that PSG are in fact, in advanced talks with his agent over a deal.
