24-year-old Champions League winner finally explains main reason he left Chelsea so quickly

Former Chelsea forward, Kai Havertz has revealed the reason he was in a haste to make an exit from Stamford Bridge.

The 24-year-old joined Arsenal over the summer after a largely underwhelming three-year stint in the blue side of London.

It was one of the most surprising transfers of the summer, and while speaking with Bleacher Report recently, the German explained why it all happened so quickly.

He said: “The whole process was just nice. I had some chats with Edu and with the manager, and all the chats were amazing and they gave me such a good feeling.

“So I just wanted to do it as quickly as possible. Maybe that’s why it happened so fast.”

Despite his excitement over the move, Havertz has not particularly impressed for Mikel Arteta’s side. In more than 20 games this season, he has managed to score just twice, with only one of those goals coming from open play.
