Mauricio Pochettino has reacted to questions on whether Chelsea will sign a new striker in January, amid the team’s struggles in front of goal.

The Blues brought in Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal in January, but the 22-year-old hasn’t quite hit top gear yet.

Jackson has scored six Premier League goals for Chelsea this season, after playing 12 games, but he still seems to be struggling nevertheless.

Armando Broja has also struggled with fitness, and isn’t the most reliable option for Pochettino.

Asked about the possibility of adding a new striker in January, the 51-year-old told the media: “It’s something we are going to analyse between the owners, the sporting director and of course the coaching staff.

“If we decide to go for some players that can improve or can add some qualities that maybe we don’t have, or maybe to keep the same squad. I think we are really open.”

Victor Osimhen and Ivan Toney are some of the names Chelsea have been linked with so far.
