Chelsea have made signing Victor Osimhen a transfer priority for 2024, according to the Telegraph.
The Blues are in need of a potent striker if they want to secure a top four finish at the end of the ongoing season.
Nicolas Jackson was expected to ease the goalscoring struggles of Mauricio Pochettino’s side, but the Senegalese has not lived up to the billing since his summer arrival from Villarreal.
Osimhen netted 31 goals in 39 games for Napoli last season, as the Serie A side cruised to their first Scudetto in 33 years. This term, the 24-year-old has scored six times in 11 appearances despite his injury problems.
Chelsea will however need to cough up money in excess of £100m if they want the former Lille man, with Napoli chief, Aurelio De Laurentiis expected to try and make some profit from the sale.
The Blues have also been linked with Brentford’s Ivan Toney, but it’s unclear whether they will pursue the signing of the England international.
