Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino will serve a touchline ban as Chelsea travel to Newcastle.

The Argentine will miss the game having picked up three bookings in the Premier League this season

Assistant manager Jesus Perez will be the one on the touchline at the St James Park.

Nicolas Jackson is the first person at the club to have gotten suspended this season after accumulating five yellow cards, all of which were for dissent.

Jackson has revealed what Pochettino did to him after his suspension.

“One day I was running I didn’t know why. They just called me out to run. It was laps, really hard, the intensity, then I was lying down when I finished,” Jackson said.

“The coach spoke to me and told me to be careful. When you show a card, you get a yellow card. I’m planning to change that.”

Pochettino has now revealed his own punishment for his suspension.

“He [Jackson] needed to run! And for me? I am going to pay for a dinner,” Pochettino revealed.

“I am going to pay for a dinner because I get suspended now. Because I cannot run…I would prefer to pay!

“I am taking the players and staff out for a barbecue. It will be a lot!”
