Former West Brom goalkeeper, Ben Foster has given his prediction of the Newcastle vs Chelsea game this weekend.
The Blues travel up north to take on Eddie Howe’s Magpies during Saturday’s 3pm (UK time) kick-off after nearly two weeks of no club football.
It’s a crucial match for the two teams, and for different reasons. Newcastle are eager to break into the top four this season after losing their last match 2-0 against Bournemouth, while Chelsea are desperate to maintain their current momentum from picking up four points in their last two games against Tottenham and Manchester City.
The hosts will be without some of their key players, although most of them are expected back for the game.
According to Foster, Chelsea will still take maximum points from the fixture.
“They (Newcastle) should have a lot of players back from injury. This is a tough one… Chelsea away win,” Foster told the That’s Football YouTube channel.
St. James’ Park is a tough place to visit, and Chelsea lost this tie 1-0 last season, but with the current level of confidence in the team, the players should be at their best on Saturday, and get something positive out of the match.
