Top Chelsea source, Nizaar Kinsella has hinted that Romeo Lavia will be available to play for Chelsea before the end of the year.

Lavia picked up an injury during training after his summer move from Southampton to Stamford Bridge, and has not played a game for the Blues since then.

The Belgian midfielder has however been recovering well from the injury after returning to training, and Kinsella says he will now be gradually reintegrated into Mauricio Pochettino’s side, although his first start could be in January.

“Chelsea are hopeful that Lavia will be back in the squad soon, but he is going to be a slow burn,” the journalist told the London Is Blue Podcast.

“I can see him not starting a game until January, but he will be available to come off the bench in the coming weeks.”
