Mason Mount has endured arguably the most difficult season of his playing career since he left Chelsea.
The 24-year-old swapped Chelsea for Manchester United over the summer, after the two clubs agreed a deal around £60m. However, it hasn’t been a fairytale start to life at Old Trafford for the player, who is yet to score a goal for Erik ten Hag’s side.
Mount has even lost his place at Man United, and often has to come in from the bench, but despite his decline in fortunes, the Englishman reportedly doesn’t regret his decision to quit Chelsea for the Red Devils.
This is according to The Athletic, who claims to have access to people close to the midfielder.
It is believed that Mount is confident things will get better for him soon. Meanwhile, Chelsea appear to have moved on well from Mount, having brought in Cole Palmer from Manchester City.
Palmer has also performed very well for Chelsea since his arrival from the Etihad Stadium over the summer, and already has eight goal involvements at this stage of the season.
