Mauricio Pochettino has been told he’s not exactly a good coach because he has not been able to get the best out of Mykhailo Mudryk.

Mudryk joined Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in January for a deal worth around £89m.

The Ukrainian has however, failed to hit the heights he was expected to reach before he joined the West London club, scoring just two goals in 28 appearances for them since then.

Mudryk has however produced contrasting displays for his country, where he is their main man. The winger was in good form for Ukraine as they drew 0-0 with Italy on Monday evening. In fact, some believe that the 22-year-old was denied a late penalty after he was fouled in the closing stages of the game, but the referee waived off the penalty appeals front him and his teammates.

And when asked why Mudryk can perform for Ukraine and not Chelsea, Shakhtar assistant coach, Nicoini claimed that Chelsea is not a team, but a club of individuals.

“Chelsea is not a team, individual players struggle there,” he said.

“In the national team, you can see the real Mykhailo Mudryk, he can do even more.”
