Chelsea legend, John Terry has named Cole Palmer, Raheem Sterling and Thiago Silva as the three players he expects will be key for Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea.
The former England defender, who played his entire adult career at Chelsea made this known while speaking at an event with fans of the club.
Terry said (via football.london): “First of all, Cole Palmer definitely.
“I think what I love about Cole is that from the very first penalty he took, he walked right up and took the ball. For a young player to do that at a top football club like ours, it shows big personality.
“He’s been phenomenal. I think Raheem [Sterling] is amazing and I’ve played against him before and he’s an absolute nightmare. He’s been really exciting but for me, I love watching Thiago [Silva].”
Like Terry rightly said, all of these players have really been great for Chelsea so far in the ongoing campaign, especially Palmer, who only joined the club in the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old has been a revelation, and many will be hoping he can maintain his good form for the entirety of his career with the club.
