Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has squashed reports that Chelsea are considering the idea of selling Benoit Badiashile in the upcoming January transfer window.
The Frenchman, who only joined Chelsea back in January, has had limited game time due to injuries in the last few months.
Badiashile has played just one game for Chelsea this season, and that was the FA Cup round-of-16 victory against Blackburn Rovers about a month ago. He also scored in the game to help the Blues to the next round.
AC Milan reportedly have eyes on Badiashile, but Romano has revealed that the player will not be sold in January, as he remains a key part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans at Chelsea.
Chelsea are considering signing a new centre-back, but that shouldn’t affect Badiashile’s chances of playing, and if anything, it’s Trevor Chalobah who is likely to be sold in January after failing to convince the coach of his credentials.
