Chelsea legend John Obi Mikel has admitted he has been shocked by the performances of Chelsea star Raheem Sterling this season.

Sterling struggled last season following his move to Chelsea from Manchester City but he returned to his best form this season under Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Mikel believes Sterling, who has scored five goals in all competitions, has been Chelsea’s best player this season.

When asked who’s impressing most at Chelsea right now, Mikel told FIVE’s YouTube channel: “I’ll have to go with Raheem Sterling. I think he’s probably been the best player right now. I don’t know what’s come over him this season. I feel like he wants to show that he’s still that guy.

“For me, I’d definitely say Raheem Sterling… He looks bright, he looks sharp again. He’s been the guy.”
