Cole Palmer has been handed his first call-up to the senior England men’s team, after his performances for Chelsea since the start of the 2023-24 season.

The 21-year-old ditched Manchester City to join Chelsea over the summer, and that decision has proven to be a good one, as he’s now played in nine consecutive Premier League matches since then.

Palmer has also scored four goals and picked up two assists in the league in the same time, much to the admiration of many.

Gareth Southgate has clearly been following the winger’s success at Chelsea, as he’s now handed him a first call-up to his Three Lions squad for their upcoming games against Malta and North Macedonia.

Palmer now joins up with Chelsea teammates, Levi Colwill and Conor Gallagher, who have also been invited to the national team for the second consecutive month this year.
