Football pundit and Chelsea fan, Jason Cundy has shared his own prediction of the Premier League clash between Chelsea and Manchester City on Sunday.
Chelsea go into the game feeling very confident after their 4-1 victory away at Tottenham Hotspur last Monday— and for Man City, the same could be said, with the reigning champions having won their last five across all competitions.
Chelsea have not beaten Man City in their last six meetings though, and Cundy is worried that record could come to work against them.
He told talkSPORT: “I don’t really believe this. But you never back against your team, I find it hard. And this is the game. I was at Stamford Bridge a few years ago, it was 2-0, and it was the biggest drubbing of a 2-0 you’ll ever see. They tore us apart. I’m going to go for a draw. But I’m not totally convinced. When you’re not convinced you go 1-1, don’t you.”
Not many people seem to be backing Chelsea to win this game, but it will be interesting to see what the outcome is. If there’s one thing we all know about the Blues, it is that they usually turn up when the expectations are not so high.
