Mail Sport pundit, Ian Ladyman has slammed Nicolas Jackson for his hat-trick against Tottenham Hotspur.
Jackson found the net three times against Spurs, who had been on top of the Premier League table for some weeks on Monday, as the Blues cruised to a late 4-1 win over Ange Potescoglu’s men.
Tottenham were down by two men for about 40 minutes, and denied Chelsea from scoring many of their chances until Jackson netted in the 75th minute to hand his side a 2-1 lead. The Senegal international then scored two more goals in added time to make it 4-1 to Chelsea, but Ladyman believes the goals were too cheap.
“Without being too unkind I have to say that was the worst Premier League hat-trick I’ve ever seen,” said the pundit.
“He played poorly on the night, he missed chances against nine men and he eventually scored what amounted to three open goals late in the game.”
