Enzo Fernandez has admitted he’s happy to be playing alongside Moises Caicedo at Chelsea.

Caicedo signed an eight-year deal from Brighton over the summer for a fee in excess of £100m.

The Ecuadorian snubbed Liverpool before joining the Blues, and Enzo has now revealed he actually put a call across to him to convince him to accept an offer from Chelsea.

Enzo said: “I called him and told him to accept the offer because Chelsea is a big and ambitious club.

“I thank God for giving me the opportunity to play next to him in Chelsea because we all know how good a player he is, but he is also an amazing person.

“I am grateful that he chose Chelsea.”
