Nicolas Jackson was amongst the heroes for Chelsea as the Blues thumped Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 away from Stamford Bridge on Monday night.
Chelsea went into the fixture as the underdogs, after losing their last game 2-0 against Brentford.
Spurs were second on the league table, and needed just a win to pip Manchester City to the top of the table. The North London side had been unbeaten all season, and seemed an insurmountable challenge for Chelsea.
However, it was a completely different outcome in the end, as Mauricio Pochettino walked away with all three points upon his first return to a club he managed for five years.
Nicolas Jackson was one of Chelsea’s best players on the evening. The Senegalese, who has endured a difficult start to life at Chelsea, netted three times to help the Blues to an important win.
The 22-year-old was also very delighted with the performance, and while speaking to Premier League Productions after the game, admitted he was happy with what was his first career hat-trick.
In his words: “It hasn’t been an easy start for me [at Chelsea] but I’m happy to score my first hat-trick for the biggest club in England.”
