Mauricio Pochettino has admitted he would not hesitate to take over at Tottenham Hotspur again, if one day there’s an opening, and they call him.

The Argentine was appointed manager at Chelsea over the summer, but he has a great history with Spurs, after spending five years with them between 2014 and 2019.

Pochettino’s reign at Spurs saw them reach the UEFA Champions League final once, while coming close to winning the Premier League on a couple of occasions.

Pochettino was sacked by Tottenham in 2019, following a poor start to the 2019-20 Premier League campaign, but the 51-year-old appears to still feel a connection with the club, and admits he wouldn’t mind re-joining them if given the opportunity.

“Why not?,” Poch said when asked the question during a pre-match interview.

“Hopefully, I can stay here until I die, for 20-25 years but you never know what is going to happen tomorrow. I am 51 and thinking more about enjoying today, not looking too much into the future, but you never know.

“It’s a club for sure if I’m not working maybe and if they want me one day, why not?”

It’s important to add that Pochettino isn’t the first person to manage both Tottenham and Chelsea. We have seen it happen in the past, with coaches like Jose Mourinho, Andre Villas-Boas and Antonio Conte.
