Former Manchester United goalie Ben Foster has said Chelsea will be on the losing side when the Blues take on Tottenham Hotspur in their Premier League cracker on Monday night.
Foster recently shared his prediction of the game on the That’s Football YouTube channel.
Monday’s clash will serve as Mauricio Pochettino’s first return to Tottenham as an opposition manager, after the Argentine coached them for five years before leaving in 2019 to eventually take over at Paris Saint-Germain.
This season, though, Spurs have appeared to be the better team than Chelsea, as they currently sit at the top of the Premier League table after 10 games. Ange Potescoglu’s side have also been unbeaten so far this season, and many are starting to consider them genuine title contenders.
Chelsea are still a work in progress, as shown in their inconsistent performances this season— and Foster believes that is exactly what will cost them the points against Tottenham.
He said: “I’m going to go Spurs [win]. I just think Chelsea are so inconsistent and so childlike at times. I think Spurs have too much pressure and too much press, and they’ll keep catching Chelsea out.”
