Chelsea legend, John Terry has revealed he is disappointed he never got the chance to manage the first team at Stamford Bridge.

According to the retired centre-back, he always held the dream of coming back to coach the senior team when he left the Blues in 2017.

“I have realised that it is not going to happen,” he said in a recent interview.

“My only dream when I left Chelsea was to come back as a manager, but now I know that’s not going to happen.

“It hurts me and it will constantly irritate the back of my head.”

Terry is a Blue through and through, after spending the entirety of his senior career at Chelsea, and this must be painful for him, but maybe he can take solace in the fact that he has been able to work with the academy players.
