Chelsea have been told who their next Carabao Cup opponent will be after their victory against Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday night.

Benoit Badiashile and Raheem Sterling handed Mauricio Pochettino the important 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge, as the Blues look to continue competing across many fronts.

The draw for the next stage of the competition have now been done, and it shows that Chelsea will take on Newcastle United in the quarter finals.

The Magpies made a real statement of intent in the competition during the round-of-16 by beating Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford. They also eliminated Manchester City.

Chelsea must be at their best if they are to stand a chance against Eddie Howe’s side. The game is expected to take place at Stamford Bridge on December 19.
