Mauricio Pochettino has told Chelsea fans to be patient and continue showing support to the team ahead of Blackburn Rovers visit to Stamford Bridge this Wednesday.

Pochettino’s message came on Tuesday, during his routine pre-match press conference.

He said: “I know it is difficult to keep your feelings but it is normal. The fans want to win and sometimes are frustrated when we don’t win.

“The message is to believe and trust in us and in the end it is about the process.”

On the importance of the Cup, Pochettino also said: “I told you before. It is going to be really important for us. We are going to try and play with our best team. Maybe some players we need to rest because after Saturday we cannot take some risks.”

Pochettino’s message may be a timely one, seeing as some fans are already starting to become impatient due to the team’s inconsistencies this season.
