Mauricio Pochettino has again, spoken highly of summer recruit, Cole Palmer, after Chelsea’s 2-0 defeat at the hands of Brentford on Saturday.

The Blues were handed a disappointing result at home by one of their popular rivals in London, despite having control over the game for large periods.

Palmer was however, brilliant for Chelsea as always, creating some great chances for his teammates, especially in the first half, although none of them could make them count.

The 21-year-old joined the Blues from Manchester City over the summer, and he has shown great promise for the future.

Poch said of Palmer: “He’s showing a great performance, character and personality. You know, it’s always about the team and when you don’t win. For sure he is disappointed and we are all disappointed. We are happy in the way he arrived.”

“He arrived in the last moment of the transfer window, he’s playing like he’s here for 10 years and showing his character and personality.”
