Chelsea are pondering a move for Barcelona star, Gavi, according to viral reports.

Spanish outlet, Sport claims that Mauricio Pochettino is a fan of the player, and believes he is the missing piece in his current side.

The idea is reportedly to play Gavi in midfield, along with Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo.

The report further claims that Barcelona want to keep Gavi, but they will be willing to accept a fee that matches their £87m variation of the player.

Gavi won the ‘Golden Boy’ award last year, and is regarded as one of the most promising players in the world at the moment, however, Chelsea do seem to have a lot of talent in midfield already, so it’s hard to see where he would fit in at Stamford Bridge.

This is definitely one of those rumours we’d take with a pinch of salt.
