Mauricio Pochettino has admitted he’s not happy that Chelsea’s game has been fixed on Christmas Eve.

The Blues will take on Wolves at the Molineux on December 24, in what will be a first of its kind in the Premier League, since Man United were defeated by Leeds 3-1 28 years ago.

The Supporters’ Trust have expressed their displeasure over the development, since the holiday season is a time for rest, but Pochettino has called for calm, insisting that nothing can really be done about it for now.

He said on Friday: “Our fans not happy? Me either. 23 is my anniversary with my wife and I need to travel to Wolves and then 24th for Argentine people is a really important night and hope to arrive in time to celebrate an important night.

“It is difficult because it is not easy to change. We need to accept we are in England and it is different to the rest of the world.

“Even if I am not happy I need to try to be in our best level and accept a situation we cannot change.”
