Fiorentina forward, Nicolas Gonzalez has revealed he would like to play for River Plate in the future.
The 25-year-old is said to be drawing interest from some clubs in Europe, including Premier League duo, Chelsea and Liverpool.
The Blues are still without a top striker despite signing Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal over the summer. The Senegal international has managed just three goals in nine matches this season.
Chelsea are said to be keen on adding to their firepower, and reports are claiming that they are monitoring Gonzalez, who has scored 29 goals on 92 games for Fiorentina.
The player however hasn’t commented on the rumours, but he has revealed he would someday, like to play for River Plate in his home country of Argentina.
“I really want to play for River. I want my brother to see me in that shirt. It would be very special. But today I’m in Europe. One day I hope it will come true,” Gonzalez, who already has seven goals this season, told ESPN.
“I wouldn’t go to River for a walk. You have to win everything. I would love to win the Copa Libertadores and the championship. It would be very nice.”
