Chelsea have a genuine interest in Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen, and that is according to football pundit, Janusz Michallik.

The Blues are reportedly still keen on getting a world-class striker, despite the availability of Nicolas Jackson and Armando Broja.

Osimhen recently fell out with Napoli, where he netted more than 30 goals to help them win the Scudetto last season.

The Nigerian is reportedly eager to join a new team, although it remains to be seen if Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis will be willing to let him go.

“This is no longer a rumour, this is a fact,” Michallik told ESPN. “I’m saying it. Chelsea need a new striker, Osimhen has been in the rumour mill before.

“It won’t be cheap and who knows if De Laurentis will let him go, but I just think this is going to happen.

“A last ditch effort from Chelsea because who else are they going to get?” Michallik added.

Chelsea may have to pay in excess of £100m to get Osimhen from Napoli, who is one of the world’s best strikers today.
