Arsenal forward, Leandro Trossard has opened up on his side’s 2-2 draw against Chelsea last weekend.

The Blues led 2-0 until the 77th minute when a Robert Sanchez mistake was capitalised on by Declan Rice, who immediately slammed the ball into the net from nearly 37 yards out.

Trossard, who came on late in the second half also scored to make sure the contest didn’t end in defeat for the Gunners.

While reacting to the result in a post-match interview, the former Brighton man said Arsenal were able to get the draw because they never threw in the towel at two goals down.

“It’s really well done to the boys to not get our heads down, and keep on working,” he said after the match to their club media.

“That’s how you can even win games as well. We need to take that with us and focus on the next game.

“I’m really pleased [to score], obviously it’s nice if you can help the team with either a goal or an assist, and today, that went my way and I’m happy it gave us a point.”

He added: “It’s not easy to have an explanation on that, but we just changed the gear in the second half a bit more.

“We played better, we were more aggressive, and you have to win your duels as well. I think we did better in the second half, and we can score goals like that.”
