John Terry has revealed he’s not in agreement with the VAR’s decision to award Chelsea a penalty during Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues ended up drawing the game after taking a 2-0 lead, but one of the talking points of the encounter was Chelsea’s first half penalty, which was a result of what the VAR believed to be a handball offence.

William Saliba seemed to use his hand to block a goal-bound header from Mykhailo Mudryk, and after a lengthy review, VAR decided it was a penalty to Chelsea, with the resulting spot-kick clinically put away by Cole Palmer.

However, Chelsea legend, Terry, who was watching the game, was not entirely in agreement with the decision, and took to ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) to express his feelings.

“Delighted we got the Penalty but I don’t agree with the rules on this, very harsh on defenders,” Terry wrote on the social networking site.

“I would have been fuming if that was given against me back in the day. But happy now.”
